Of Mice and Men
I think Lennie and George have known each other for a long time, and I can see that they know each other very well. I can point out some examples from the book. George know`s that Lennie like soft and fur things and often remind him to be carefully with it. In the book you also can see that George know about Lennie`s family because he point out people to Lennie when he don`t remember them. They also have had a lot of jobs together, and that`s another sign to why the know each other so good. And they have plans to get a farm when they got enough money, you don`t build a farm with a stranger. George also know that Lennie isn`t a good speaker and he always speak for him, because he doesn`t want to miss another job. If Lennie just was a stranger boy for George, he would have runned away, starting a new life of him own. I think he haven`t done that because of Lennie, since they have known each other the hole life. I think this is enough to explain if they have lived together a long time.

The characters “Of Mice and Men” is George Milton and Lennie Small. George is a smart man while Lennie is the strong one. They are dreaming about having their own farm. Lennie is very big fan of stroking soft and hairy things like animal hair, but this often gives him trouble. Lennie do not know his own strength and by a accident he killed a woman while he was stroking the lady’s hair. In the end of this story they are chased by a lynch mob led by the farmers son, and George shoot Lennie in the farm so Lennie won`t have a painful death by the lynch mob.
Huck Finn
-
Some critics claim that Jim is Huck’s “true father.” Defend or refute this statement.
Jim is Huck`s “true father” because he always take care of Huck. Huckleberry Finn have had a special childhood, his mother died and his father left him to himself. Huck didn`t go to school, and when others was on school Huck did whatever he wanted to do. He just lived for himself, sleeping outside.
But then Mrs Douglas takes care of Huck and here he meet Jim. Jim always took care of Huck and was nice to him all the time, and Huck did the same to Jim. They was “meant to be”. When they both was runaways, they met on Jackson Island and decided to runaway together. When you read the book you can see the bond between Huck and Jim, there relationship was like a real father and son relation. Jim took much more care of Huck than his real father did, he hit him and was drunk all the time. He didn`t care about Huck. Therefore Jim was good to have for Huck.
I defend this statement: ” Jim is Huck`s real father “. I understand it when I read the book, just see how different they take care of Huck. I really understand that statement. Maybe Jim wasn`t his biologic father, but in my eyes Jim is Huck`s “real father”.

Death in The Barn
I think Lennie is a kind of person who is really nice, but he doesn`t know that he is so strong. Lennie likes to touch soft and hairy things and because of his strength sometimes accidents happens. So you can say that Lennie is a person that doesn`t know about his big strength but he also is a nice person. And when something threat his farm, Lennie gets so angry and strong that he doesn`t know it self. This get accidents.
I think Curley can help Lennie with his problem to learn him that he got so big strength and learn him to control his strength. Because Lennie is a nice person, and if he can control his strenght Lennie will be a normal and kind person.

Happy or rich?
I would choose rich. People say “money don’t buy happiness”. But I think if I were rich, I would also be happy. If I were to suddenly win some money I would use it wisely, at least some of it. I would buy myself a nice house and buy a car, and pay off all my mothers mortgages and put away some money for my brothers college education. But I would also spend some money on traveling, I would like to visit big cities like New York, Tokyo, London, Paris and of course Manchester. And for my own conscience, I would donate some money to organizations for needing people.
All this is things that would make me happy. Because with money, you can do all these fun things. When Bolme, Rudi and Riise is sitting at home watching “Bonderomantikken” on tv2, I could be sitting on 1 class seats watching Manchester United on Old Trafford. Maybe they would be happy sitting at home in front of the tv, but everyone would choose going to a Manchester game over watching “Bonderomantikken” on a trashy tv. And when I`m not on a trip to a nice city I would probably watch television on my “100″ big flat tv in my entertainment room. My entertainment room would be the size as Bolme`s house, with billiard, table tennis, flat tv and the best stereo on the market. So I think being rich would make Henrik a happy boy.
If money had grown on trees
If that had happen, the world would have been crazy. It haven`t been possible to lived on this world if all people was millionaires. The world have just not been the same, every people have walked with the same clothes, Bolme have changed Gram ma`s “kjøttkak” with a little more luxury food at rushy`s, and Lars Trostdal have maybe used some extra coins. That`s things I never will see, and gladly I`ll never have to see it either.
But to the fact, I think the world would have been destroyed after a couple of years if this had happen. No one have wanted to work, to do this stuffs that make food and all that important things we need in this world, because they just can go in the garden and then they are millionaires. And then it wouldn`t be enough food to every people, and they would start to die slowly, one after one. It haven`t gone good with the baby’s either, because it isn`t someone on the hospital to take them out of the mother, because no one want to work because they are all millionaires. So the world have just been a big mess.
But if all people on the earth have wanted to work still, it may have worked. But the world have just been bad, everyone have got the power and have all weired the same things. The happiest people in the world have of course been the poor ones, the people who is in Africa is one example. And we have a really good example in Bolme and Co to, instead of moving shit from Sunndal rideklubb, they have lived on rushy`s fantastic burger shop every day. But to the serious part again, I really don`t think the world have been right if money had grown on trees. We had died after some years anyway. I like the world like it`s now, and it`s good that crazy things like this never will happen.
